the deal
collector is a hosted web interface for a media agent that runs on your own hardware. We provide accounts, pairing, and the UI; your agent holds your library and does everything with actual audio. The beta is free.
beta software, no warranty
This is beta software, provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind and no uptime promise. It may break, change, or go away. If the platform is down, your agent and your library keep working on your own network — that separation is the design, not an apology.
your agent, your library, your responsibility
The agent is software you run on hardware you control. It downloads audio from services you choose to point it at — Soulseek, archive.org, YouTube. It is built for personal library management and archival of music you have a right to hold. You are responsible for complying with copyright law in your jurisdiction. This platform neither hosts nor distributes any content — audio never touches our servers.
acceptable use
Don't abuse the platform. That means, non-exhaustively:
- no attacking, probing, or deliberately overloading the service
- no bot signups, waitlist spam, or bulk automated account creation
- no trying to access other people's accounts or agents
- no using the platform to break the law
your account
Keep your password to yourself — whoever holds it holds the account. The free tier is one agent per account. You can un-pair or delete your account any time from the dashboard.
termination
We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can delete yours whenever you like. Either way your library stays yours and stays with you — nothing about it was ever stored here (see privacy).
the agent is open source
The agent software is licensed under the AGPL-3.0. These terms cover the hosted platform; the agent's license covers the agent.
changes
These terms may change with notice — we'll update this page and its date, and email you about anything material. Using the platform after a change means you accept it.
